On November 9, 2024, Yavanika Theatres, a dynamic theatre group from Kerala, India, based in Tokyo , will present an Indo-Japan cultural exchange event titled Sangamam 2024. This highly anticipated event will be held at Funabori Tower Hall, Tokyo.
Yavanika Theatres was founded by a group of passionate individuals with the mission to create and promote live theatre productions in Japan, fostering deeper cultural integration between Japan and India. Building on the success of Sangamam 2022 in Tokyo and Sangamam 2023 in Nagoya, both of which featured their debut production drama named Shilapuranam, the group continues to inspire audiences by showcasing cultural performances from both countries.
Sangamam 2024 promises to be another groundbreaking event, featuring a blend of talent from India and Japan. The highlight of the evening will be an India-Japan English-language digital drama titled ‘Dharmayathra’ performed by a diverse cast of Indian and Japanese actors, along with a Pan-Indian Cultural Dance Show that celebrates the rich heritage of Indian dance.
