NRI Voting?

Recently below message has been floating around on WhatsApp creating an impression that NRIs can vote from outside India too from their current country of residence.

But at IndoJapanPulse, after research, found that this link does not allow NRIs to vote however it can help you to check your details if you are already registered voter/not or help you to register as new voter. Once you are a registered voter, you still need to travel to your constituency in India where you are registered and cast your vote in person.
