What you need to do for the procedure ?

Steps before you visit Embassy:

1. Get the soft copy of Power Of Attorney from the company/Organization you are dealing with
2. Take the printout of the document and treat it as original document
3. Paste your photograph on it. If your PoA states you should have fingerprint and signature, do it accordingly
4. Take one copy of Power of Attorney, one copy of Passport and one copy of Resident card

Steps At Embassy:

1. Visit earlier to avoid crowd. Go till the end of the building and take left for the windows where they service PoA and other services together. Mostly Window 4 & 5 are dedicated for Attestation.
2. Take the token ticket and wait for your number to be called.
3. Once called, explain you want to get PoA stamped. It’s a normal procedure for the officials there, so not too much explanation is required.
4. Give them original and copy of PoA, Passport and Resident card.
5. They will ask for signatures on the photograph and at couple of places on PoA original and copy. This needs to be done there only, in front of the officer.
6. They will give back your resident card and Passport there itself. Then you need to pay the fees of 2390 yens. Please try to bring exact amount or you might have to go out again to get the change.
7. They will ask you to sign on the receipt of fees and will tell you that “you can collect between 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm same day. They will give you a receipt you need to carry at the time of delivery.
8. During delivery time of 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, please collect the PoA and you are done.
