Things you should not bring to Japan when travelling

It`s very important to know what you can carry and what you can`t carry to a country of your destination before travelling. Every country has their own rules and regulations, things that are allowed or prohibited. Not knowing may put you in certain kind of problem hence better to take care. Items that are prohibited for import and can’t be brought into Japan:

  • Meat products, animal derived products
  • Plans
  • Obscure magazines, DVD, child pornography and others
  • Illegal drugs
  • Firearms such as pistols, bullets and firearm parts
  • Explosives, gunpowder, chemical weapon materials, and pathogens such as anthrax bacterium
  • Counterfeit goods such as money, bank notes, securities, credit cards and others
  • Animals such as cat and dogs

Something you want to be careful when traveling is your belongings. Every country has customs and will check your luggage, however depending on the country prohibited objects can be different. Even if it is something that you always have on hand or a gift to a friend, if it is prohibited by law, it will be confiscated.
